Emily Aggett

I’m a Managing Associate in the Commercial and Regulatory Disputes team.

I advise local, national, and international clients on a wide range of commercial and contractual disputes, high court litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Alongside my general commercial litigation work, I specialise in advising clients on data protection law and compliance issues, in relation to complex Subject Access and Freedom of Information Act requests, data breach situations and data sharing arrangements including as part of due diligence for corporate and property transactions.

I am a French speaker and experienced in French law having studied Law with French at University including a year studying law at university in Bordeaux. Once a qualified lawyer, I worked on several occasions in the Paris office of a global, commercial law firm. At Michelmores, I am involved with maintaining and strengthening the relationship with our best friend firms in France.

Outside of work, I volunteer with the National Youth Advocacy Service as an Independent Volunteer Visitor which involves being a trusted friend for a young person in care in
