Elliot Greenstone

Elliot advises leading Canadian and global private equity sponsors, portfolio companies as well as public and private corporations on their most complex, high stakes and cross border transactions. Known for calm, thoughtful judgment and rigorous execution, he guides clients through the full deal lifecycle—from strategy and structuring to negotiation, financing, and closing—across mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, licensing, and other significant commercial arrangements. He is particularly active in the technology, life sciences and retail sectors, where his combined business and scientific training allows him to quickly distill technical issues, navigate IP and information technology considerations, and align legal solutions with business objectives. Clients rely on him for clear advice, measured advocacy and consistent results.

Elliot coordinates the corporate practice in Davies’ Montréal office and serves on the firm’s Technology and Talent Management and Professional Development committees. He is active in the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section, including the M&A and Private Equity Subcommittees, and co-chairs the International Private Equity and Venture Capital Subcommittee.
