Practice Areas
Edward Shohat focuses his practice on state and federal white collar crime and related forfeitures, as well as the defense of civil RICO cases and matters involving the US Patriot Act, Sarbanes Oxley, and corporate compliance issues. He represents clients in criminal and civil litigation involving allegations of criminal conduct, including corporate and civil counsel consultation on potential law enforcement exposures of corporate and other business entities. He represents corporations and individuals in internal investigations and pre-indictment charge avoidance efforts, as well as in grand jury subpoena and testimony matters.
Career
In addition to being widely recognized for his legal skills, Edward holds leadership positions in a variety of professional organizations. He has lectured on criminal defense seminars throughout the country and has appeared on local and national news broadcasts on ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN.
