Chad Theriot advises domestic and international clients across a broad spectrum of construction, contracting, and procurement activities. He represents owners, commercial and government contractors, major subcontractors, and original equipment manufacturers in construction litigation and construction claims avoidance.
Career
Chad currently represents US, UK, Austrian, Spanish, South African, Saudi Arabian, and Taiwanese companies on large construction projects spanning the globe. He is routinely before the AAA, ICC, LCIA, and various state and federal courts litigating disputes arising out of these projects. Chad has successfully litigated more than $2.5 billion in disputes. His typical range of projects includes representing owners and contractors in the construction and design of energy projects, airports, military bases, hospitals, power plants, petrochemical facilities, cogeneration plants, high-rises, hotels, resorts, and a variety of other commercial and industrial construction projects. He also has extensive experience in the aircraft, locomotive, and shipbuilding industries. Chad currently serves as the Construction Practice Group Co-Leader at Jones Walker and on its Board of Directors. Before joining Jones Walker, Chad practiced in the Atlanta office of an Am Law 100 firm, where he was a partner on the construction and infrastructure team.
