Ed is a trial and appellate lawyer specialising in employment law, discrimination law and related areas. Ed has appeared as an advocate in every level of domestic court and tribunal all the way up to the Supreme Court. He has full rights of audience before the DIFC Courts in Dubai and has appeared in a number of cases in that jurisdiction. Ed’s industry expertise spans both the public sector and private sector, including cases for or against senior executives and financial institutions. Ed has particular expertise in all discrimination strands, whistleblowing, complex contractual interpretation points, cases with an international element or ground-breaking points at the interface between domestic and European law. Ed is regularly instructed on cross-over work, e.g: commercial employment, discrimination in goods and services litigation, professional negligence, breach of contract claims in the County Court and in the High Court. Ed is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association Pro Bono Committee. He also delivers witness familiarisation training for Assurety.
