Practice Areas

Dylan Chochla is a partner in the Toronto Insolvency and Restructuring group. His practice focuses on corporate bankruptcy, insolvency and restructurings under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act, and under provincial and federal corporate statutes. He regularly represents clients in court and has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Dylan is involved in a wide variety of insolvency files, and represents debtor companies, court-appointed officers, lenders, secured creditors and other third parties engaged in corporate restructurings. He also frequently acts for purchasers of distressed assets. Dylan has extensive experience in all aspects of insolvency and restructuring law, including matters under the Personal Property Security Act and the Repair and Storage Lien Act. He advises creditors in enforcing their rights under those statutes, and has successfully defended a number of claims asserted by creditors against our clients.
