Doug is the National Managing Partner of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, based out of the firm’s Toronto office. He is also a partner in the firm’s Business Law Group, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and securities law matters, and has acted on a number of Canada’s highest profile M&A transactions. His practice has included a broad range of transactions and advice encompassing private and public company acquisitions, hostile and supported take-over bids, going private transactions, private equity transactions, special committee advice, private and public market financings, and corporate governance issues.

Career

Doug returned to the Toronto office after practising in the firm’s New York office from January 2008 to August 2011. Doug is a former co-Chair of the firm’s M&A and Mining Practice Groups and former member of the OSC’s Securities Advisory Group (SAC).
