Dominic trained, qualified and practiced at City firm Simmons & Simmons (in London and Hong Kong) before joining the regional firm of Hewitson Becke & Shaw, a predecessor practice to HCR Hewitsons. In course of his dispute resolution practice of 33 years, he has had extended periods in law firm management, including membership of the management board of Hewitsons for 12 years and periods as Head of Corporate Services and Head of Litigation respectively.
On the merger of Harrison Clark Rickerbys and Hewitsons in 2021, Dominic was appointed Joint Head of the firm's Northampton Office and lead partner for Dispute Resolution in the East Midlands region

Dominic is Deputy Lieutenant for Northamptonshire (2018 commission) and has been the Under Sheriff of Northamptonshire since 2007
