Bill is a commercial lawyer. His practice covers intellectual property, information technology and data protection, in addition to other commercial work.
He has particular expertise in:
• research and development contracts, including EU funded framework programme contracts
• R&D contracts involving both industry and not-for-profit research organisations such as universities
• licensing of patents and other intellectual property rights
His work covers many fields, for example:
• medical devices
• laboratory equipment
• automotive
• interior design
• environmental
• programmatic advertising
• cryptography
Career
Bill has practised as a commercial lawyer since qualifying in 1990. He has been a partner in Harrison Clark Rickerbys and, before that, Hewitsons LLP and its predecessor firms, since 1996.
