Dimitri Sofianopoulos is a consultant based in Athens.

Dimitri focuses on asset finance (mainly shipping finance), commercial contract negotiations (including newbuilding contracts, fleet acquisitions, demise charterparties, management agreements and joint ventures) and international capital markets (bond issues, IPOs and private placements). He also has extensive experience of mainstream corporate law, venture capital, joint ventures and M&A in the shipping sphere.

Dimitri has acted for almost all of the major commercial banks and ECA's as well as a number of leading shipping companies in the tanker, gas, container and dry bulk sectors.
