Experience

Since his practice as a lawyer, Mr. Tong has represented COSCO/CHINA SHIPPING /PICC /P&I CLUB and other domestic and foreign port shipping, insurance and finance, ship repair and other famous enterprises, as well as the maritime administration, the Bureau of Ocean and Fisheries, local governments and other domestic and foreign maritime merchant litigation, arbitration or business negotiations and other work. Seven of the ten classic cases published on the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Ningbo Maritime Court have been hosted, and some cases have set maritime precedents in the province and even in China. The professional papers written on the basis of their practice lessons and experience have won many excellent or advanced awards at home and abroad, and some have been selected into the national theoretical databases such as the Treasure House of Contemporary Chinese Thought.

In his spare time, Mr. Tong has also served as Secretary General of the Maritime Commerce and Maritime Committee of the All China Lawyers Association, director of the Navigation Society/local people's Congress and other social posts. He has been invited to teach maritime law practice and theory in Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Xiamen University, Dalian and Shanghai Maritime University and has been invited to deliver keynote speeches at the International Maritime Law Conference/Vancouver, Hong Kong and other International Maritime Arbitrators Conference/China Small and Medium-sized Shipping Enterprise Forum. Jointly or independently hosted the 2nd Annual Maritime Conference of China Bar Association and the 10th International Maritime Law Seminar of China Maritime Law Association. Meanwhile, he also actively participated in the legislative work such as the revision of the Maritime Law, the Research on Legal Issues related to the bankruptcy of Maritime Enterprises, and the drafting and improvement of relevant judicial interpretations of the Supreme People's Court.
