Davyd's experience covers a broad spectrum of corporate and banking related matters, including major domestic and cross-border winding-up proceedings, workouts, distressed financings, schemes of arrangement, bankruptcy, appointments and challenges to officeholders, cross-border recognition and enforcement actions, clawbacks, employment and operational issues, claims against directors and auditors, fraud, asset tracing and debt recovery.
Career
Davyd established and leads YTL LLP's banking, restructuring and insolvency practice with the goal of delivering international firm quality with local firm approachability and accessibility. Prior to that, he worked in top tier Australian firms and magic circle firms in Hong Kong, where he was involved in many of the highest profile workouts, restructurings and insolvencies over the past two decades. Davyd was also a legal advisor to the Liquidators of Lehman Brothers Asia during his tenure in-house at KPMG.

Davyd is a member of INSOL, IWIRC, HKICPA RIF and TMA, was admitted as a Fellow of both CIArb and HKIArb (2016) and became an accredited mediator (HKMAAL)(2017).
Personal
Davyd holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Laws (UNSW) and a Master of Laws (HKU). He first qualified as a solicitor in New South Wales in 2003, before moving to Hong Kong where he qualified locally in 2009.
