David Wadham is a recognised expert in the development, financing and acquisition of power and renewable energy projects and other forms of infrastructure. He has a particular expertise in large-scale, complex projects and multi-sourced financings.

Over the past two decades, he has worked on in excess of 70 power and renewables projects across the UK, continental Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia and has advised on the successful implementation of over 15GW of new capacity. His expertise includes advising governments, private sector sponsors and funders (commercial banks, export credit agencies and DFIs). His sector expertise spans all forms of generation and he has particular expertise in the gas, offshore wind and nuclear sectors.

David's work encompasses both project development, including PPAs, fuel supply, construction and O&M/LTSA arrangements, as well as complex financings, in particular those involving DFIs, ECAs and commercial banks in multi-sourced financings. He also advises on joint venture and share purchase documentation for major projects.

David has extensive experience of the Middle East and Asian markets, having been previously based in Abu Dhabi and Tokyo.
