Dave Kall is the Managing Member of McDonald Hopkins' Cleveland office, Chair of the Tax and Benefits Practice Group, Chair of the Multistate Tax Practice Group, Chair of the Capital Markets Practice Group within the firm’s Business Department, and serves on the firm's Board of Directors.

With over 30 years of experience as a corporate advisor and tax law attorney, Dave is a trusted partner to early-stage and growth-stage companies, middle-market businesses, capital providers, management teams, and entrepreneurs on a broad range of corporate matters. His experience encompasses corporate governance, entity structuring, contract negotiations, operational issues, tax compliance, and strategic planning, all aimed at supporting his clients' long-term growth and success. Dave’s practice also includes serving as outside general counsel for middle market, start-up, medtech and others in diverse industries.

Dave’s tax expertise and business experience enable him to offer clients a unique perspective and comprehensive legal counsel on both tax and corporate matters. His tax practice involves significant controversy work at both the federal and state levels, handling domestic tax issues. He has represented clients under audit, at IRS Appeals, and before the Ohio Department of Taxation and the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals.

Dave earned a J.D., with honors, from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1993. He received a B.A., summa cum laude, with Distinction in Political Science and Honors in the Liberal Arts, from The Ohio State University in 1989.
