David Waguespack is recognized for his expertise in Chapter 11 reorganizations and related disputes, acting for a range of debtors, lenders and creditor committees, among others. He has complementary experience in real estate transactions and frequently acts for investors acquiring property both in and out of bankruptcy. His practice involves bankruptcy, commercial litigation, creditor’s rights, and gaming law. He represents lenders, debtors, creditor committees, and other parties in complex Chapter 11 reorganizations and related litigation and has served as a Chapter 11 trustee. He represents investors acquiring property in and out of bankruptcy. He has handled litigation relating to liens, real estate, construction, shareholder’s rights, lender liability, and other commercial matters. He is board certified in business bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification and by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization. He is a co-chair of the Corporate Governance Subcommittee of the Business Bankruptcy Committee of the American Bar Association and serves on the TARP Task Force of the Business Bankruptcy Committee of the American Bar Association. Mr. Waguespack is currently Vice-Chair of the Bankruptcy Law Advisory Committee.
