Practice Areas
Daryn is an experienced litigator who represents management in all matters relating to labour relations and employment law. He has a particular focus on the interpretation and application of collective agreements, the Ontario Labour Relations Act and the Employment Standards Act.
He has extensive experience in the broader public sector, including with municipalities, hospitals and family and children’s services. First and foremost a highly skilled advocate, Daryn is equally valued by his clients for his day-to-day strategic advice.
Daryn has written and spoken extensively on many labour and employment law topics, including harassment, human rights, COVID-19 issues, collective bargaining, performance management, workplace safety and insurance law, and absenteeism in the workplace.
He has been ranked in Best Lawyers in Canada for the past three years (2021, 2022, 2023).

Personal
Daryn attended McGill University for his undergraduate education. He received his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1992 and was called to the Ontario bar in 1994.
