Certified since 1998 as a Specialist in Labour Law, Brett is recognized as one of Canada’s top practitioners of management labour and employment law.

Brett has appeared as counsel for employers in hundreds of administrative and court proceedings at both the provincial and federal level. He frequently represents employers in collective bargaining negotiations and is known for his ability to develop innovative strategies to solve complex labour relations problems.

Brett has experience working with clients in a wide variety of sectors, including Crown corporations, municipal government, transportation and public transit, utilities, manufacturing, information technology and airport security.

Brett has been recognized by Lexpert, Best Lawyers (Canada and Global Edition) and Martindale-Hubbell.

A proud Maritimer, Brett attended St. Mary’s University for his undergraduate studies and received his LL.B. from Dalhousie Law School in Halifax. He was called to the bar in 1990.
