Danny has nearly 25 years' experience as a litigator, specialising in contentious and semi-contentious trust and estate matters and commercial disputes. He has significant experience in professional negligence claims, claims against directors and fraud-related claims. He acts for, and advises, clients in insolvency matters, both in a contentious and non-contentious context.
Before joining Ardent in 2025, Danny was a partner in two Jersey law firms.
He has appeared in numerous leading cases in the Royal Court and the Court of Appeal and is regularly appointed by the Royal Court as a guardian ad litem to represent minor and unborn beneficiaries in the context of a variety of applications brought under the Trusts (Jersey) Law 1984.
He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2001 and to the Jersey Bar in 2004. He spent 2008 working in the Cayman Islands where he was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law. He is a member of the Jersey Law Society, the Contentious Trusts Association (ConTrA) and the Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Experts (ARIES). In 2017 he was named Lawyer of the Year for contentious trusts at the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards.
