Daniel acts for insolvency practitioners, boards of directors, financial institutions, distressed lenders and directors faced with disqualification proceedings. Recognised as an authority on the EU insolvency regulation, and the UNCITRAL model on cross-border insolvency. His clients appreciate the quality of legal advice he renders, his prompt proactive service, his strong commercial sense, and consider highly assertive. His global knowledge of insolvency allows him to give clients the most proactive and realistic advice.

Daniel was admitted in 1996. Joined the original 'Sprecher Grier' restructuring and insolvency group in 1997, having acquired substantial experience of insolvency law and commercial litigation with a well-known London firm. Became the firm's youngest ever partner at the age of 28, and an Equity Partner at the age of 30. Daniel went on to head up the restructuring and insolvency team. Between Daniel joining Sprecher Grier in 1997, and 2016, Sprecher Grier merged twice, first with SGH Martineau and then Shakespeare Martineau. In 2016 Mr Sejas took advantage of an opportunity to resurrect the old Sprecher Grier by setting up in a new firm – Sprecher Grier Limited, where he has been joined by former colleagues. Daniel lectures widely on insolvency law, was a speaker at the INSOL International Conferences in 2007 and 2010. INSOL International Committee Member. Daniel is a well known insolvency solicitor, and a recognised ‘leader in insolvency’.
Fluent in French and Spanish. Has a Masters in French law (Université de Bordeaux).
