Jane is a partner in the family & divorce team and she advises clients on the protection of wealth, both pre and post divorce and her breadth of experience both in negotiating discreet settlements and in taking cases to trial means that she is much in demand by individual clients and family offices alike. Jane acts for equal numbers of men and women and many of her clients come from across the country and abroad, as well as London. She has won numerous industry awards, and in a highly popular, albeit unusually early move, in 2013, she became Kingsley Napley’s Senior Partner being then one of only four women to lead a UK Top 100 law firm. She fulfilled the role for five years before handing on to the current Senior Partner, Stephen Parkinson in 2018.
Trustee of the Racing Foundation. The City of London Law Society; Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers and a member of Resolution.
Qualified in 1987. Joined Kingsley Napley in 1989 and became a partner in November 1992. Head of the family team from 1999 until 2013 when she became the firm’s Senior Partner. She is also a trained and practising collaborative lawyer.
Farmers Weekly author and speaker at a range of conferences including the Mercia Group Farming Conference; the IBC Conference on Attacking and Defending Trusts in Divorce and at the 2016 IAFL conferences in Los Angeles and New Delhi on surrogacy and cohabitation law respectively. Born 1962. Lives in Oxfordshire and London, enjoys breeding horses for the racing industry.
