Chiara Capalti’s practice focuses on domestic and international litigation and arbitration.
Chiara assists and represents clients in international arbitrations and cross-border legal proceedings across a wide range of industries, including construction and infrastructure, energy, oil and gas, automotive, and defense. Over the past 15 years, Chiara has been involved (as counsel, secretary, or assistant to the Arbitral Tribunal) in over 40 arbitrations and cross-border litigations. She also has significant experience in domestic court litigation.
Career
Chiara is an Adjunct Professor in International Arbitration Law at LUISS University in Rome and regularly publishes and lectures on issues related to international arbitration and dispute resolution.
She graduated cum laude from Alma Mater Studiorum, Università di Bologna in 2010 and obtained an LL.M. in Public International Law with merits at King’s College London in the same year.
Just after graduation, Chiara joined Cleary Gottlieb in Rome and became Counsel in 2026. From September 2017 to March 2019, she was resident in the Firm’s New York office.
