Charles Wu is currently a partner of Beijing Dacheng Law Offices, LLP (Shanghai) and the joint leader of the Real Estate and Energy Committee of Dacheng. Charles has been specializing in the Chinese real estate legal service market for over thirty years. He has accumulated rich experience in areas such as large-scale acquisitions, asset management of existing properties, real estate finance, and resolution of commercial disputes involving real estate developers. His clients include international renowned real estate developers, insurance funds, real estate funds, central state-owned enterprises, local state-owned enterprises, asset management operation institutions, fund managers, government regulatory departments, etc. The projects he has served cover land large-scale development, TOD, parks, hotels, office buildings, outstanding historical protected buildings, commercial complexes, rental housing, new infrastructure, cultural and tourism complexes, etc.

Charles is currently an adjunct government legal advisor at the Shanghai Municipal Justice Bureau, an adjunct legal advisor at the Shanghai Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, an external legal advisor for the Shanghai Housing Security Affairs Center, the Communist Party of Baoshan District Committee, and the District Government, an external legal advisor for Nantong Municipal Government, an arbitrator of the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center), an arbitrator of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission, and an arbitrator of the Nantong Arbitration Commission.

In recent years, he has continuously received recognition from international rating agencies such as Chambers, The Legal 500, LEGALBAND, and Who’s Who Legal. As a senior lawyer, he has long served renowned real estate giants at home and abroad and high-quality enterprises with extensive influence in the industry, such as large financial institutions.
