Chandrima is a Partner at the firm’s Mumbai office and focuses on media and entertainment laws and has experience of more than 20 years in this field. She regularly advises and represents leading acting talents in India with respect to their professional engagements for brand endorsements, acting assignments, stage performances. She is also involved in commercial-legal roles for advising, structuring and negotiating deals across domestic and international production and distribution of theatrical and non-theatrical content across platforms.

She gives advice related to IP rights management for monetization of IP, documentation and negotiation for acquisition of content (completed and under-production). She is also involved in advising on script, content clearances, due diligence for ascertaining IP ownership. Chandrima also closely works with the dispute resolution team on all media related litigation.

Prior to joining DSK Legal, Chandrima was an in – house counsel at renowned media companies like UTV Motion Pictures India and Disney India.
