Practice Areas

Catherine advises across the full range of employment issues. Predominantly advising employers, Catherine has a particular interest in complex cases and senior executive severance. She understands the commercial realities faced by clients and is highly-regarded for her pragmatic approach to reorganisations and managing change.

Catherine acts for large retail businesses, a number of further education colleges, and specialist technology companies. She is a regular advisor to business groups and is a popular guest speaker and specialist trainer.

Catherine's grounding in the complexities of managing people began before she qualified as a lawyer: the first seven years of her working life were spent working as a housing manager for national housing associations and managing large teams of people.

She subsequently re-qualified as an employment solicitor, and trained with the highly-regarded employment team at TLT and worked with regional firms before setting up her own successful boutique employment practice in 2016. The practice merged with Harrison Clark Rickerbys in 2022.
