Carol has worked in the environmental sector for over 30 years. After completing an MSc in Nature Conservation (UCL), Carol developed her knowledge of EU/UK policy through her employment with two County Wildlife Trusts (Warwickshire and Surrey) and over 20 years with WWF-UK, during which time she qualified as a Solicitor (2002). Carol re-joined Leigh Day as a consultant Solicitor in 2013 and now spreads her time supporting the Firm’s work on planning and infrastructure projects, energy and climate change and wildlife law. Her work brings her into contact with a wide variety of individuals, community groups and NGOs to take cases in the domestic and European courts. Carol also has a particular interest in access to environmental justice and the UK’s commitments under the UNECE Aarhus Convention.
