Inquiries, Health & Safety:
She has in depth experience of public inquiries and Fatal Accident Inquiries. She represents Core Participants in the Sheku Bayoh Inquiry. Has represented Interested Parties, both individuals and public bodies, in high profile FAIs including, most recently, M9, Carmont and the Park Inn. She has experience of prosecuting and defending crime. She was junior counsel representing the Chief Constable in the M9 Prosecution.
Reparation:
She represents public bodies, insurers and pursuers complex, high value reparation actions relating to public and employer liability, property damage, industrial disease, fatal accidents, sexual abuse, road traffic and medical negligence.
Professional Regulation:
Carla has experience of the Police Appeals Tribunal, was previously a member of the Scottish Solicitors Discipline Tribunal and a Legal Adviser to the SSC.
Public Law:
Standing Junior to the Advocate General appearing in judicial reviews.
Advocate Depute to the Proceeds of Crime Unit with experience in the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
