Partner of the Intellectual Property and Life Sciences team. His professional practice focuses on litigation practice and evidentiary collection in matters related to Intellectual Property, as well as in matters of Unfair Competition and Consumer Law. He has more than 15 years of professional experience in these fields, advising national and foreign clients and, likewise, acting as their attorney before different national and international judicial, arbitration and administrative authorities. Since two (2) years ago he assumed the autonomous construction of the Anti-Piracy and Counterfeiting practice, representing national and foreign clients in these fields.

He served as Foreign Lawyer in the Madrid office of Uría Menéndez between 2019 and 2020 in the coordination group of Industrial Property and Unfair Competition. Author of several articles in indexed and specialized publications; he has been recognized and highlighted in international guides such as Chambers & Partners, The Legal 500, Benchmark Litigation, Leaders League and Best Lawyers.

Camilo has a Law Degree from Universidad del Rosario (2006), a Postgraduate Degree in Procedural Law (2012) and an LL.M. in Competition and Intellectual Property from Universidad de la Rioja, Spain (2013).

Counsel to Compañía Colombiana de Cerámica in the successful reversal of the partial cancellation for alleged genericide of the trademark PORCELANATO in Class 19, where the Colombian Trademark Office confirmed the mark’s full distinctiveness and product coverage, and acknowledged that we effectively demonstrated the existence of a valid technical substitute term: “porcelain stoneware.

Counsel to ONG "Te Protejo" in the successful registration of the "No testeado en animales" certification trademark.

Counsel to SOCIÉTÉ DES PRODUITS NESTLÉ in order to achieve the well-known status recognition of the trademarks NESCAFÉ (WORD + DESIGN) and RED MUG (DESIGN) between November 2016 and May 2023, preventing both from dilution.
