Camilla is a Special Counsel at Withers. She is dual qualified as an Avvocato (Italy) and Solicitor Advocate (England & Wales), and specialises in public international law and international arbitration.
She advises companies on the protection of investments under international investment treaties and sanctions, and States on boundary disputes, cultural heritage, international humanitarian law, international investment law, law of the sea, natural resources, sovereign immunity and statehood issues. Camilla regularly assists clients in pro bono human rights cases before constitutional courts, the UN Human Rights Treaty Bodies and human rights courts.
She represents individuals, companies, States and State-owned entities in international arbitrations across a range of sectors, including the aviation, construction, energy, gambling, insurance, metal and waste management industries in Africa, CIS, Latin America and MENA regions under the CAM, CIAC, ICC, ICSID, LCIA and UNCITRAL arbitration rules.
She is the Conference Associate Editor and Co-Chair of the Annual Juris Conference on Investment Treaty Arbitration, an Editor of Jus Mundi Wiki Notes on Investment Arbitration and is on the board of the American Review of International Arbitration at Columbia Law School. Camilla is a recommended lawyer since 2022 in Legal 500 UK ("rising star" in public international law and international arbitration), since 2023 in Who's Who Legal - Global Elite Below 45, since 2022 Best Lawyer "Ones to Watch" UK, and is ranked as a Who's Who Legal - Arbitration Future Leader (Non-Partner).
She served as Co-Chair of Young ICCA (2018-2020) and is fluent in Italian, English, French and Spanish.
