Claire Christy is co-head of the UK employer practice and advises employers on all aspects of employment and partnership law. Her diverse practice covers contentious and non-contentious matters encompassing investigations, grievances and disciplinary matters, terminations and exit packages, restrictive covenants and protection of confidential information and employment disputes in the tribunal, High Court and Court of Appeal, as well as day to day HR advice and assisting clients with drafting employment documents. She acts for small to mid-size employers operating in a broad range of sectors including healthcare, fashion, food and wine, telecommunications, oil and gas, tech, financial services and publishing. She has acted for Italian employer clients for many years, as well as acting for senior Italian executives living and working in the UK. She works closely with our corporate and tax teams on issues concerning directors and shareholders and has over 20 years' experience acting for minority and majority shareholders in disputes concerning unfair prejudice. Recent instructions include advising on injunction proceedings and allegations of breach of directors' duties, negotiating the exit terms of directors and employees with minority shareholdings, unfair and wrongful dismissal, sex, race and disability discrimination and whistleblowing.
