Byron Robayo is a partner at Spingarn and one of the lawyers with the most extensive experience in intellectual property, protection of trade secrets and technology transfer in Ecuador. During his professional career he has handled the most emblematic cases in Ecuador related to Intellectual Property, Unfair Competition, Health Law, Data Privacy, Business Secrets, Electronic Commerce and Consumer Affairs for national and international companies.
He has been a consultant for the drafting of several regulatory bodies, now in force in Ecuador in various areas such as: franchises, licenses, business secrets, patents, technology transfer, entrepreneurship and innovation and crowdfunding. He is currently a professor of the Department of Commercial Law and also of the Department of Technology Transfer and Innovation at the PUCE; He is also a professor of the Innovation Management subject of the MBA at EDES Business School; and, of the subject of Intellectual Property in the Master of Digital Law at the UDLA.
