Brad Roach is a Partner and Co-Chair of Gibson Dunn’s global Oil and Gas Practice Group and has been based in Singapore for over 25 years. He is recognised for his industry knowledge and negotiation skills. He has a market-leading oil and gas M&A practice and has advised on transactions with an aggregate value of over US$10 billion. He also advises the developers of upstream and downstream oil and gas/LNG projects and is currently advising the sponsors of the largest offshore CCS and gas development project in Malaysia. Brad has particular expertise advising on carbon offsets, LNG sale and purchase agreements, gas sales agreements and production sharing contracts.
He advised Chevron on the transfer of its Rokan PSC operations to Pertamina and on an agreement with SKK Migas, on behalf of the Government of Indonesia, to address abandonment and site restoration matters in the contract area. He advised Murphy Oil on the US$2.127 billion divestment of its Malaysian operations to PTTEP, the largest upstream M&A transaction in Southeast Asia in the past seven years, and the divestment of its interest in the CA2 Production Sharing Agreement in Brunei to PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd.
