Experience
Bjørn has extensive experience in loan issuance, financial restructurings, in-court reconstruction processes, as well as enforcement of security and loss mitigation, and has broad expertise from both the borrower and lender side. He also regularly works on financial regulatory matters. Bjørn holds a PhD in secured transactions law, has authored numerous scholarly publications, and is frequently engaged as a speaker for clients, as well as at seminars and conferences.
Before joining Kvale, Bjørn worked as an Associate Professor of Law at the University of Tromsø (UiT), where he also served as Vice Dean for Research at the Faculty of Law. His combination of academic depth and practical experience makes him a valuable advisor and sparring partner for banks, financial institutions, and large corporations in complex legal issues and strategic decision-making.
