Kvale has one of the largest and most recognized restructuring and insolvency departments in Norway.
Kvale regularly advises banks in distressed cases, assessing the banks' position, negotiating with other stakeholders, handling (enforcement of) security interests and drafting i.a. restructuring, refinancing and guarantee documentation.
Kvale also advise the board of directors and administration of companies in distress to navigate the various stakeholders in times of economic crisis, and in identifying measures and instruments in court or out of court to restructure and/or refinance the business.
Kvale is often appointed as trustee/administrator in complex national or cross-border insolvency proceedings, and are continuously handling a substantial number of bankrutpcies/liquidations, of which several are among the largest bankruptcy/liquidation proceedings in Norway every year.
Kvale leads private and public investigations. Through the role as appointed trustee in insolvency proceedings, Kvale regularly handles investigations of economic transactions, acts or omissions by board members, management and/or auditors and other related matters.
