Ben Fong specialises in commercial banking and institutional transactions involving syndicated and club facilities, particularly in the area of property investment and development finance. Ben acts for a range of financiers including the large Australian trading banks, foreign banks, non-bank financiers and private credit.

Often assisting Australian and Asia-based landowners and developers, Ben and his team at Lavan provide commercial and practical advice to assist their clients achieve prompt financial close for Australian and cross-border finance transactions.

Ben is a partner in Lavan’s Deals team and Banking & Finance team. Ben's in -depth knowledge of banking and finance complements the delivery of commercial and M&A transactions over a broad range of industries. Ben is also a qualified chartered accountant and commenced his career in the corporate tax group with a ‘Big 4’ accounting firm, practising in Melbourne and Perth.
