Augustin de Longeaux

Augustin advises domestic and international investment managers and financial institutions on legal and regulatory issues relating to the structuring, establishment, operation and distribution of all types of Luxembourg investment funds.

Augustin leads the Luxembourg fund formation group. He brings together significant practical experience in advising clients who carry on business in Luxembourg or through Luxembourg vehicles, with industry knowledge and an understanding of applicable regulatory rules and regulatory requirements.

He assists his clients in relation to the establishment of Luxembourg management companies, alternative investment fund managers and investment firms. He provides regulatory and compliance advice and representation in connection with CSSF proceedings.

Augustin also advises institutional investors and family offices in relation to prospective investments in Luxembourg based funds.

His practice has a particular focus on formation of regulated and unregulated real estate, private equity, infrastructure and debt funds.

Prior to joining Simmons & Simmons in May 2018, Augustin has been a member of leading fund formation teams.
