Asten is a senior associate in the employment team in Reading. She qualified in September 2019, having undertaken her training contract with Broadfield UK (formerly BDB Pitmans).

Asten has experience in assisting and advising on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters including: wrongful and unfair dismissal claims, whistleblowing, TUPE transfers, redundancy and grievance, capability and disciplinary procedures. She is also able to assist in drafting and reviewing employment contracts and policies and to advise on protected/without prejudice conversations and settlement agreements.

As a trainee, in addition to her time in the employment department, Asten undertook seats in insolvency and restructuring, pensions, property and corporate/commercial.
