António Soares is Linklaters' national managing partner in Portugal and heads the capital markets and financial regulation group in the Lisbon office’s Finance department.

He has prowess in equity and debt securities capital markets transactions, financial regulatory matters, public M&A, public offerings, privatisations, and company restructurings.

António is widely acknowledged as one of Portugal’s leading lawyer in financial regulatory matters, securities, banking and commercial law. He advises major corporations, including listed companies, banks and financial institutions, and national and foreign investors on some of the most complex and high-profile transactions, both in Portugal and cross-border.

António further provides financial markets regulation advice to both national and international clients and general corporate governance advice to Portuguese listed companies.
