Career
Anne Marie practices in a range of legal, policy, and technical issues involving electric energy regulation, with experience in transmission planning, transmission incentives, generator interconnection, resource adequacy in the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), wholesale energy markets in the MISO and California Independent System Operator regions, corporate matters, and hydropower licensing.
Before joining us, she dedicated over thirteen years at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Commission), serving as Legal Advisor to three Commissioners, an Attorney Advisor in the Office of the General Counsel’s Energy Markets, and an Energy Industry Analyst in the Office of Energy Market Regulation. She helped shape significant Commission orders by leading interdisciplinary teams and identifying legal and technical risks. Additionally, she serviced a detail to the House Energy and Commerce Committee, contributing to transmission-related provisions in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and supporting congressional oversight of the bulk electric system following Winter Storm Uri. In recognition of her leadership and contributions, Chairman David Roser awarded her the Chairman’s Medal in 2025. Drawing on her extensive experience, she offers clients a sophisticated understanding of the regulatory landscape and the decision-making processes for today’s evolving wholesale energy markets.
