Angelo Calfo, a former federal prosecutor, has a proven track record of litigating complex civil and criminal cases and successfully trying cases to verdict. Angelo has represented numerous Fortune 100 companies and executives in a wide variety of industries, including in the energy, securities, transportation, healthcare, technology, and financial services business. Prior to co-founding Angeli & Calfo LLC, Angelo was a founding member of the law firm Calfo Eakes LLP in Seattle and a partner at Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP. He also served as an Assistant US Attorney for the Western District of Washington and taught at the US Attorney General’s Advocacy Institute. Angelo continues to lecture frequently on trial practice, grand jury investigations, and legal ethics.

*Online travel agency in antitrust lawsuit brought by former European competitor alleging anti-competitive conduct arising from “algorithmic collusion”.

*Numerous Fortune 500 pharmaceutical, technology, energy, financial, and consumer services companies in consumer protection lawsuits and CID investigations initiated by the Washington State Attorney General's Office.

*Northwest gasoline pipeline company (a joint venture of three publicly traded energy companies) in $500 million business interruption lawsuit brought by refinery arising out of a major gasoline spill.

White Collar Criminal Defense

*Fortune 500 chemical company and one of its managers in environmental criminal prosecution alleging obstruction of justice and knowing endangerment under the Clean Air Act, arising out of company's operation of a vermiculite mine in Libby, Montana.

*Chairman of Russia-based seafood company on federal tax evasion charges arising out of company loan and dividend payments.

*CEO of real estate management company involved in sale of more than $3 billion in fractional interests in commercial real estate.

False Claims Act

*Accenture in False Claims Act lawsuit arising out of the sale of computer software and services to Department of Defense.

*GE Healthcare subsidiary involved in development of electronic medical records technology in False Claims Act prosecution relating to procurement of Commerce Department grant funds.

*Numerous government contractors and employees in separate investigations into alleged billing fraud arising out of contracts relating to Hanford Nuclear Reservation.

*Motorola Solutions and one of its executives in lawsuit alleging trade secret theft and violations of non-competition clauses and related sexual discrimination claims

*King County, Washington in employment retaliation lawsuit relating to employee in Wastewater Treatment Division; case went to trial and obtained a complete defense verdict

*Cell Therapeutics, Inc. in employment retaliation lawsuit relating to company’s promotion of cancer treatment for multiple myeloma. Case dismissed on summary judgment
