Andrew Ward

Partner. He specializes in European Union, Spanish and international competition law, with extensive experience in merger control, competition authority investigations and managing antitrust risks. He also advises on state aid and other issues pertaining to EU law more widely.

He is a visiting professor at Spanish and international universities, including ISDE Law & Business School. From 1998 to 2002, he worked as an associate at the Brussels office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.

Mr. Ward has been a member of the England and Wales Bar Association since 1997, and the Madrid Bar Association since 2002. He is a board member of the Spanish Association for the Defense of Competition, a rapporteur for the American Bar Association’s International Committee and a co-chair of the Unilateral Conduct Working Group of the International Bar Association’s Antitrust Committee.

He has been published widely in Spain and abroad.
