Andrew Brown specialises in commercial chancery work with a focus on insolvency and commercial disputes. He has a wealth of experience in asset recovery in complex insolvency claims involving reviewable transactions, corporate director misfeasance and fiduciary duty claims, Quincecare duty matters, energy company insolvencies, commercial disputes with a particular emphasis on fraud work, and all manner of procedural insolvency matters.

Andrew is a prolific author of secondary literature related to insolvency law, and regularly appears as an author in Corporate Rescue and Insolvency (CRI) and Recovery on topics related to restructuring. In addition he has published a number of books and chapters in specialist texts, such as: A Practical Guide to Void Dispositions and Validation Orders, (2025); Butterworth's Civil Court Precedents; Tolley's Insolvency Service; Gore-Browne On Companies; A Practical Guide to Insolvency Litigation (3rd Ed)
Andrew earned a doctorate and masters in Ancient History from Oxford where he previously lectured in ancient coinage and monetary systems.
