With a deep understanding of healthcare law, Andrew focuses his practice on helping clients in the hospice, palliative care, home health, and PACE sectors.
Andrew helps to lead the firm’s coast-to-coast Hospice & Palliative Care Team, working with clients on a broad range of healthcare regulatory compliance and payment issues, including those related to Medicare and Medicaid regulations, provider enrollment and licensing rules, and fraud and abuse laws like the False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Statute. Andrew and the team also help navigate clients through a wide range of Medicare and Medicaid audits and claim review; 60-Day Repayment Rule investigations; facility, physician, and payor contracting issues; and transactional and corporate restructuring matters.
Andrew primarily focuses his practice on serving post-acute care providers, in particular hospice providers, palliative care providers, home health agencies (HHAs), and Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). He advocates for clients so they can stay focused on their patient care missions.
Clients appreciate Andrew’s background as in-house counsel for the Wisconsin Hospital Association. In that position, Andrew handled contracting, compliance, governance, and healthcare policy matters, including issues related to HIPAA and data privacy, telehealth, and meaningful use of electronic health records.
