Andrei is Partner in Deloitte Legal and Leader of Deloitte Private in Romania with an experience of over 25 years as an attorney at law, serving private companies of all sizes including local entrepreneurs, large private companies, startups, family businesses and private equity funds. He regularly assists banks, non-banking financial institutions, payment institutions and publicly traded companies on a variety of financial regulatory matters.

His banking and finance experience includes bilateral/ syndicated loans, LBOs, distressed debt and securitization structures, stock option plans, securities offerings (local/cross-border, private placements/public offerings, equity/debt) and is experienced on matters pertaining to insider dealing and market manipulation cases and other securities law matters. He also assisted financial supervisory authorities and financial institutions on various FSI regulatory matters, including assisting the Romanian Securities Commission in drafting the securitization and mortgage bonds regulations.

Andrei is regularly involved in M&A deals with a particular focus on financial services (banks, insurance companies, fintech).

His clients portfolio includes also equity and debt crowdfunding platforms and companies in the digital assets industry.

Andrei also has corporate governance and legal risks management experience and assisted companies and business owners on various risk management and governance matters (including dealing with white collar crime related matters).
