Partner and Head of the firm’s Stavanger Office, Rødland has extensive experience advising clients within the energy sector and especially oil and gas since 2001. Many of his clients are international E&P and blue-chip companies, but Rødland also advises national oil companies and contractors in typically project development and M&A transactional matters. Rødland’s expertise includes corporate law, commercial contract law and energy regulatory matters, and he represents clients in (international) arbitration processes and ordinary courts of law, including actions for temporary injunctions and administrative processes. In addition to the oil and gas work, Rødland advises on new energy projects within electrification of offshore installations, CCS, Hydrogen and Ocean Wind.
Qualified and joined Arntzen de Besche (now Arntzen Grette) in 2001, partner since 2011, has been working as in-house lawyer in Total E&P Norge AS in 2008, Teekay Shipping in 2007-2008 and Gassco AS in 2003-2005.
