Ana Teresa is the Managing Partner of the Arias office in Nicaragua and a member of the Regional Managing Council. Throughout her career, she has advised international financial institutions on reviewing and structuring securities of all types, as well as drafting agreements, providing clients with a comprehensive and strategic approach. Additionally, she has guided foreign investors in organizing their corporate structures for operations in Nicaragua and ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.

Ana Teresa has been involved in complex transactions, actively participating in due diligence processes and structuring deals for acquiring companies across various sectors, such as retail, distribution, telecommunications, and financial institutions, among others. She also serves as legal counsel to several local companies, managing their daily operations in areas including tax, labor, and contractual matters.

Her expertise extends to drafting and reviewing significant legislative projects in Nicaragua, such as the Movable Security Law (Ley de Garantías Mobiliarias) and the Leasing Law (Ley de Leasing), both of which were reviewed and approved by the National Assembly. She has also been involved in discussions surrounding the Antitrust Law (Ley de Promoción de la Competencia), contributing to the development of the country’s legal framework.
