Amy Greaves is a senior associate solicitor working in the clinical negligence department, she joined Shoosmiths in February 2013 as a solicitor in the clinical negligence department.
Amy qualified as a solicitor in September 2009.
Amy works on a wide range of diverse cases across clinical negligence, including injuries arising from birth, psychiatric treatment, complications following anaesthetic, neurological injury, orthopaedic injuries and birth injury claims amongst others.
Amy has assisted families who have lost relatives due to negligence in preparing for Inquests. She has extensive experience of bringing claims following the death of a relative.
Amy also works closely with charities including National Institute of Conductive Education and Child Brain Injury Trust.
Work highlights include:
•representing a family at an inquest and securing a neglect conclusion where the failure to provide the deceased with basic observations led to her death; and
•securing an excellent settlement for a young woman who suffered an injury at birth. The client now has a settlement to enable her to be as independent as possible.

Prior to joining Shoosmiths, Amy was a solicitor with Anthony Collins Solicitors LLP. Amy graduated with a 2:1 from University of Birmingham prior to training as a solicitor
