Amanda Crouch represents clients in a wide range of industries in state and federal courts and arbitration. She has been essential in securing favorable results on a range of matters, including contract disputes, collection matters, personal injury defense, probate litigation, First Amendment and media litigation, and defending claims on behalf of cities and counties. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Amanda led the firm’s COVID-19 Task Force and provided advice to clients in a range of industries regarding various COVID-related employment and business matters.

Prior to joining Jackson Walker, Amanda interned for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Texas and for Justice Phil Johnson of the Texas Supreme Court.

She has been admitted to the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas.

Work Highlights

Amanda received a U.S. Supreme Court dismissal of certiorari in a case involving qualified immunity for the Coleman County sheriff, jailer, and jail administrator. On behalf of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, Amanda secured an appellate win on the sealing of evidence following a $740 million jury verdict. She also served on the trial team for Helena Chemical Company, which recently obtained a favorable ruling by the Supreme Court of Texas in a lawsuit alleging that an aerial application of herbicide damaged cotton fields in Mitchell County, Texas.
