Alfonso has wide experience in the capital markets and banking fields with a strong track record of advising on complex and innovative transactions.

He has extensive experience in the securitisation of various asset classes, such as mortgages, SMEs, trade receivables, credit cards and auto-loans. He also advises clients in the acquisition, structuring and securitisation of RPL and NPL portfolios. He has been involved in some of the most relevant securitisation transactions in Spain in recent years, and is recognised as one of the experts in the Spanish market. He also has in-depth knowledge of the securitisation regulatory framework, including STS, SRT and CRR.

Alfonso also advises leading financial institutions on asset backed-financings, factoring (both Spanish and pan-European), dealer floor plans, reverse factoring and consumer law issues. He has experience in structuring and negotiating financing solutions for various sectors and industries, and in dealing with cross-border and multi-jurisdictional aspects.

Alfonso also has a solid background in general banking and finance matters, including acquisition, corporate, export and project finance. He has advised on the financing of several high-profile M&A transactions, both domestic and international, and on the development and financing of infrastructure projects.
