Alexandra has considerable experience in complex fraud, insider dealing and corruption cases as well as murder and serious gang violence.
She led the prosecution of Glencore in the first corporate conviction for substantive Bribery offences and in 2024 went on to be instructed in the high-profile SFO prosecution of a number of former Glencore employees. She was also instructed to prosecute a former Nigerian Oil Minister for corruption and advises a number of clients in relation to investigations into bribery and insider dealing. She was instructed on behalf of a senior bank official in the LIBOR lowballing investigation which was discontinued by the SFO. She successfully defended Clodagh Hartley, the Sun Whitehall editor, in the first Operation Elveden case in which a journalist was acquitted.
Alexandra has both defended and prosecuted in murder and serious gang related violent crime. She successfully prosecuted a serving police officer for manslaughter in relation to the death of Dalian Atkinson. She successfully prosecuted police officers for misconduct in public office, in relation to their failure to investigate allegations of child abuse.
