Alexander Upton

Alexander Upton was called to Bar by the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn in 2004 and is a member of the South Eastern Circuit, the Fraud Lawyers Association and the Criminal Bar Association of England and Wales.

He is a specialist advocate with a focus on defending in private client and Very High Cost Crime ("VHCC") publicly funded cases.

His expertise covers the full range of criminal offences including violence, drugs, firearms and cases involving serious and organised crime such as fraud, financial crime, bribery and corruption. His reputation is built on thorough case preparation, sound tactical judgement and an incisive approach to the evidence.

He is regularly instructed by leading firms and acts as sole, led or leading counsel in matters involving the highest levels of sensitivity and complexity.

Alexander is also a specialist sports lawyer, sitting on the Surrey Rugby Disciplinary Panel and also acting on behalf of the Football Association in actions before the FA Disciplinary Commission.
